Bob Wilson Memorial Scholarship 5K Run/Walk

Fitchburg State College is hosting the second annual 5K Run/Walk which benefits the Bob Wilson Memorial Scholarship Fund. Last year 180 people registered to walk or run and we earned $4800 for scholarships!!!!

Bob, who passed away in 2005, worked at Fitchburg State for 19 years as a photographer and media coordinator as well as within the Information Technology department.

Additionally, Bob worked as a photographer in the United States Army, as a photographer for the Omaha World-Herald, as a News Cameraman at Omaha's KMTV, as a Radio News Reporter, and later in the corporate video production field.

For many years, Bob was also an active volunteer and a member of the Board of Directors for Fitchburg Access Television. He was very instrumental in the start up of that organization. He strongly believed in supporting his community and enjoyed helping others when he could do so. His life was enriched with every moment that he dedicated to his family, to his friends, and to his community. His laugh, his smile, and his enthusiasm will always be missed.

He would have certainly enjoyed the activities and the spirit of the race last year. Help to keep his spirit of giving alive; join us on October 28, 2007 for the 2nd Annual Bob Wilson Memorial Scholarship 5k Run/Walk
